My doggy story started in late 80s, when we bought a Boxer puppy
called Gaby. The interest to the breed and the wish to work with it
developed quickly. I completed a course in dog breeding and in 1991
registered a kennel called ALIKON, which was later re-registered with
the FCI under the name IZ KUNTSEVSKOGO DVORIKA. Since then, 22 Boxer
litters were born and raised in my kennel, the first one in late 1990,
and the last one in September 2002. The first puppy born in my kennel
was TERIEL ("Nestora") (INT&GER&PL Ch.
NESTOR Hevelius, owner Jerzy Pikos (sired by
XANTHOS v. Belerer Ries) x GABI Raysend).
I think it will be correct to say that Nestora was the first
Russian-bred boxer to get a title at an International Show abroad. In
autumn 1991,
she became
ZWYCIEZCA POLSKI MLODZIEZY (Polish Junior
Winner) at an International show in Poland. For that time, it was a
real success. Being a beautiful dog, Nestora also produced excellent
progeny, passing her desirable type to them.
Her great-granddaughter VICTORIA, a young promising female from the
last litter born in my kennel (GIULIO (sired by TECK del Colle
dell'Infinito) x ONLY iz Kuntsevskogo Dvorika
(sired by MOUSSORGSKI
de la Vallee d'Aunis))
is just beginning her show
career, but she's
already had some successful shows
both in Russia and abroad.
At present, I no longer breed Boxers. In mid-90s, visiting my Boxer friends, I got
acquainted with a small charming dog which seemed to be an unusual
addition to the Boxers living in the same home. Its bright and showy
appearance, in line with expressiveness and liveliness resembled a
Boxer in everything besides the size. This dog was a Boston Terrier.
I fell in love with this breed, and buying a Boston became my dream
since that. It came true in 6 years, when in spring 2002 I became the
happy owner of a Boston Terrier called Pavla.
